Loving Ewe Exhibit

Tuesday, Dec 26, 2023 at 1:00PM Repeating event

Humboldt & District Museum

When Saskatoon artist Val Miles’ first granddaughter was born in 2020, she decided she wanted to write and illustrate a children’s book that was dedicated to her. The illustrations for her book, entitled Loving Ewe, were started in 2021 and finished in 2022, just in time to dedicate the book to her second granddaughter as well.

Val’s distinctive art style is used to tell the story of Eunice the Ewe, who sets out to share her loving heart by helping friends in need. The original artwork from the book, as well as two other pieces and some Museum artifacts that complement the story, will be on display at the Museum until December 30. The Museum is open Tuesdays to Fridays, 1:00pm to 5:00pm, and Saturdays, 10:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

This exhibition brings together painting, poetry, and storytelling, and is suitable for all ages. ‘Ewe’ won’t want to miss this charming exhibit!
