Humboldt and District Museum

No skill is a “lost art” at the Heritage Skills Revival Day at the Humboldt and District Museum! We are pleased to host this event to showcase the talented people from the community who are keeping heritage skills alive and well.

Come and see:
- A blacksmithing demonstration by Tyler Dies
- A working model of Henry Ford’s 1893 “Kitchen Sink” engine built by Ed Drachenberg
- A ropemaking demonstration from Tyler Shaw- try it out for yourself!
- Reynold Fortowsky’s beautifully restored 1960 Chevy Impala convertible
- A working telegraph machine demonstrated by Garry Jenkins and Lee Lefebvre – send Morse Code messages just like Catherine Weldon did at Original Humboldt in 1878!

Plus see how old-fashioned ice cream is made and try some for just $2 a scoop!

This event is free for everyone, and fun for all ages.
