This exhibit of over 60 ceramic pieces by 21 artists from the Saskatoon Potters Guild explores the theme of shapeshifting. Shapeshifters can change physical form. Clay is a shapeshifter and may evolve to be an everyday ware, and object of rare beauty and inspiration or a combination of both. Potters supply the imagination, creativity and the ‘magic’ to form and transform clay.
In this juried exhibition, Saskatoon Potters Guild potters have been challenged to explore the theme to create the unique works by changing the original from using reshaping, angles or curves with the shapeshifter, clay.
