Dennis Ficor and 1-800 Polka band will be returning to Danceland for another amazing Polka Fest weekend!
Dennis Ficor is a celebrated accordionist who has spent a lifetime performing in various bands across Saskatchewan. Over the years, he has shared the stage with many well-known performers and recording artists, including Buddy Knox, Brian Sklar, Mel West, Brad Johner, Jack Semple, Rick Morgenstern, and many more. His exceptional talent and versatility have made him a staple in the local music scene, earning him a reputation as one of Saskatchewan's finest musicians.
1-800-POLKA is a new polka supergroup from Saskatoon, inspired by the small-town prairie old-time dance bands of the past. The band features Joseph Desjarlais on fiddle and Rochelle Wright on accordion, along with members and siblings of Gil & Wil, and Jake Vaadeland's Sturgeon River Boys. They are known for their diverse musical talents, including accordion, guitar, fiddle, drums, banjo, and beautiful harmony vocals. The band has been performing at the historic Danceland hall in Manitou Beach, Saskatchewan's polka capital, and has quickly become a sought-after group for various events and festivals.
