The Humboldt & District Gallery is helping you get ready for Easter this year with another Make Your Own Pysanka workshop! What’s a pysanka? It’s a traditional Ukrainian Easter egg made using the wax-resist method. In this hands-on, beginner-level class, you’ll be shown special techniques for creating beautiful designs, and get the chance to explore the rich history and symbolism behind this cherished Ukrainian artform with professional pysanka artist Karen Pidskalny. This workshop will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 1:30-4:00pm. General registration is $25, and Member registration is $22.50. To sign up, pop into the Gallery or Museum during open hours, call (306) 682-5226, or email info@humboldtmuseum.ca.
